Install and refresh ChatGPT

What this solves

AI-MarkDone is a browser extension, not a separate web app. After installation, it needs to load a content script inside ChatGPT before it can read the conversation and mount its controls.

If ChatGPT was already open when you installed the extension, the old page usually will not update until you refresh it.

When to use it

• You installed AI-MarkDone for the first time.
• The extension updated while ChatGPT was already open.
• The toolbar is missing.
• You re-enabled AI-MarkDone from the browser extension page.

Where to open it

Chrome users should install from the Chrome Web Store. Firefox users should install from Firefox Add-ons. After installation, return to ChatGPT and refresh the tab.

Steps

1. Install AI-MarkDone from the Chrome Web Store or Firefox Add-ons.
2. Return to your open ChatGPT tab.
3. Refresh the page. You do not need to sign out.
4. Wait for the conversation to load.
5. Look for message actions such as Copy Markdown, Reader, bookmark, Save Messages, and Copy as PNG.
6. If nothing appears, open the extension panel and check Settings.

Common questions

Why did nothing change after installation?

Refresh ChatGPT first. Browser extensions usually attach to already-open pages after a refresh or navigation.

Do I need to sign in again?

Usually no. AI-MarkDone does not own your ChatGPT login and does not move the conversation into another app.
