Install and refresh ChatGPT

Install AI-MarkDone from the Chrome Web Store, refresh ChatGPT, and confirm that the toolbar and settings entry are loaded.

What this solves

AI-MarkDone installs in the browser and adds its toolbar to the ChatGPT page. After installation, the extension needs the current page to load again so it can recognize the conversation and message positions.

If ChatGPT was already open when you installed the extension, the old page usually will not update until you refresh it.

When to use it

  • You installed AI-MarkDone for the first time.
  • The extension updated while ChatGPT was already open.
  • The toolbar is missing.
  • You re-enabled AI-MarkDone from the browser extension page.

Where to open it

Chrome users should install from the Chrome Web Store. Firefox users should install from Firefox Add-ons. After installation, return to ChatGPT and refresh the tab.

Steps

  1. Install AI-MarkDone from the Chrome Web Store or Firefox Add-ons.
  2. Return to your open ChatGPT tab.
  3. Refresh the page while staying signed in to ChatGPT.
  4. Wait for the conversation to load.
  5. Look for message actions such as Copy Markdown, Reader, bookmark, Save Messages, and Copy as PNG.
  6. If nothing appears, open the extension panel and check Settings.

Common questions

Why did nothing change after installation?

Refresh ChatGPT first. Browser extensions usually attach to already-open pages after a refresh or navigation.

Do I need to sign in again?

Usually you can stay signed in. AI-MarkDone only loads its toolbar into the browser page.
