Reader
Read long answers at your own pace.
Open an answer in a separate reading window. Use its heading outline to find a section, move between answers, and keep earlier passages in the excerpts panel while you read.
- Heading outline: jump to a section of the answer.
- Excerpts: keep passages, formulas, or code beside the text temporarily.
- Reader settings: adjust text size, width, and how Reader opens.
Highlights and annotations
Mark a passage. Leave your question beside it.
Select text on the ChatGPT page or in Reader to highlight it or add a note. To ask a follow-up, insert the source text and annotations into the composer, review them, and send.
- Highlights: color passages to revisit and find them in Library.
- Annotations: record edits, questions, or your own interpretation.
- Saving: highlights are saved; a setting controls whether new annotations are kept permanently.
Formula tools
Preview formulas as you write. Export them when you need them.
Complete LaTeX commands and preview formulas in the ChatGPT composer. You can also copy or save individual formulas from answers for notes, papers, and presentations.
- Write: type a backslash inside $…$ or $$…$$ to choose a completion.
- Preview: see the formula at the text cursor as you type or move through it.
- Copy and save: use LaTeX, PNG, SVG, or MathML as needed.
Library
Keep bookmarks, annotations, and highlights together.
Save answers you want to revisit. Organize them into folders, search, and preview their content. Highlights and saved annotations have their own lists, with links back to the original conversation.
- Bookmarks: message bookmarks keep a question-and-answer snapshot; page bookmarks keep a name and URL.
- Find: search your library and preview saved content.
- Return: open the original ChatGPT conversation, provided it is still accessible.
Copy and export
Take a passage or save several answers.
Copy a whole answer or a selected Markdown passage. For archiving or sharing, select messages and export Markdown, PDF, or PNG. Offline Markdown ZIP can include supported charts and cards as static attachments.
- Markdown: keep headings, lists, code, and formulas for further editing.
- PDF and PNG: export the selected messages for reading or sharing.
- Charts and cards: keep supported content as images in PDF and PNG, or use text placeholders.

Bookmarks, highlights, and saved annotations are stored locally by the extension. To move devices, export your library or connect your own Google Drive account and choose Back up now manually.
